Gerry Thompson
I started flying exactly 50 years ago. I obtained my private and commercial pilot license and instructor rating with the Ottawa Flying Club where I worked for over forty years as a flight instructor. I flew a Citation Jet for two years for Loeb Corporation flying executives to various airports across North America. I am a Class 1 flight instructor with over 24,000 hours of flight time. Interests outside of flying consist of riding my Harley Davidson and hanging out with Bailey, my Yellow Labrador Retriever. I enjoy flying with students and providing the upmost in professional flight training to help them reach their goals in aviation at Global Flight Training Solutions.
Carolyn Dziawa
A lifelong interest in aviation turned into a passion after I took my first flying lesson in 2018. I have a M.Sc. in Earth Sciences and spent several years at the University of Ottawa before recently making the switch to working in aviation full-time. I love teaching and it is always a thrill to see students master new skills and achieve their dreams. When I’m not instructing, I enjoy flying my Piper Cherokee.
I am a class 2 flight instructor with night, multi-engine, group 1 instrument, and seaplane ratings. Primarily based at the Smiths Falls / Montague Airport, I am an instructor at both GFTS and the Smiths Falls Flying Club.
